Nuance of Assonance - #TheImitationGame It is one thing to read stories and another to watch them. While words read have a quality of getting buried deeper in your memory that shape your thinking without us putting much effort into it, visual guidance for any story telling tends to be relatively temporary. It is the playfulness of the words that capture our imagination better than the striking lights seen on a silver screen. Words tend to be simply heavier It is these words that shape a story. It is these words that capture the butterfly called imagination into the jars of wonderlands. But imagine, if the power to seduce this butterfly can be used to send a message that satisfies other types of hunger. The platform, my readers, is called literature Most of us live our lives to see ourselves achieve something, some day so that we can be proud of ourselves for the lives we led before we close our lives. We choose different paths that comfort our shoes when walking. When we dedicate ourselves to our paths and dreams to a such a level, that the very idea of our existence is solely dependent on the path chosen, we tend to become single minded. Passion is not a tear from a child crying for a toy whose cost is unaware to the child. Passion is the fire burning in the hearts that helps a blind man brighten up the world around him, bright enough for him to see. For we are all born blind into this world. And when the very light that helps you see your world around, there is nothing more left for the blind man in the world which we believe or want him to live in. Such is the story that is portrayed in a piece of art, extracted out of reality, called The Imitation Game. Such is the heartbreak you witness when you sit in the chair, rolling those eyes around watching the journey of a character from building his world to the world around him snatching it away. A dark room and a violin playing in the background may have the power to raise emotions inside you, but it is the story telling and the performance of an artist that makes you believe that what you are witnessing is for real. There are moments that make you feel light as a feather flying in the wind and sometimes heavier than a whale in abyss with its tail stuck in the bed of the ocean. You witness the different identified for being different, doubted for being different, appreciated for being different, casted away for being different, ignored and then forgotten for being different. Suicide as it may seem, in some cases, is actually a murder committed by a society, in its immaturity. How long, as a species, will have to wait to cross this period of adolescence! In our failure to identify what really matters, we forget events and people that shape us to be the better version of ourselves. Collective intelligence is a trait that makes us different from other species, in our totality. Yet, the decisions we take, the world we make, in pride of being the better judges of our own worlds, being driven more by pride than morality, we often tend to forget that it is these blind acts of pride that isolates us from the lessons that we are taught from others. And hence depriving us from the stepping forward in the path of the collective intelligence and morality. We are guilty for turning a cold shoulder towards people whom we have the power to help. Ignorance, when becomes a choice, is the crime committed by an escapist. The story that we witness here, successfully helps to churn these thoughts into the psyche of every person empathetic It was a touching journey, The Imitation Game. Thanks for sharing the story of Alan Turing. The world needed the truth and the man deserved it to be told in the best way possible. A Tribute for the life lost and lives gained in the name of the life lost, could not have more beautiful
