OBITUARY: PAUL J. CHARRON Paul J. Charron, 74, beloved husband of Joanne (Houle) Charron, went to the Lord on Sunday March 16, 2014, surrounded by his loving family. Paul was born in Nashua on May 4, 1939, the son of the late Ernest and Eva (Godbout) Charron. He attended parochial school at St. Louis de Gonzague Parish in Nashua and graduated from la Salette Minor Seminary in Enfield NH. He attended La Salette College in East Brewster MA and later served in the Air Force Reserves and was activated during the Cuban Missile Crisis. He worked for Metropolitan Life Insurance Co. as a salesman and later for the Colson Co. as a District Sales Manager of material handling and medical equipment. Paul founded Charron Medical Equipment, Inc. in 1975 where he worked for 28 years with a great team of employees, serving people’s medical equipment needs in the Nashua area and beyond. He retired in 2003 after selling the business that continues to meet the needs of the community. Paul was a Communicant of Infant Jesus Church (now Blessed John XXIII Parish) where he served in various ways over the years: Parish Council President, Evangelization Committee, lector, Eucharistic Minister, altar server at funerals and member of the choir. Paul also served on the “Diocesan Evangelization Resource Team” (DERT) and on the Board of Directors of “Vita Nova” which provides spiritual renewal services in NH. Paul was also a Pastoral Leader of the “Rivier Prayer Community”, a Catholic charismatic prayer group which meets weekly on the campus of Rivier University. With the help of a great Pastoral team and core group, he planned the “Life in the Spirits Seminars”, and healing services for over 26 years. Paul was a devoted husband, father, grandfather and brother and he will be deeply missed! In his spare time, Paul enjoyed working outside in the yard and on small projects around the house! He enjoyed playing with his grandchildren and taking part in their activities. Paul loved the ocean and the long walks along the Marginal Way in Ogunquit ME. He also enjoyed travelling on pilgrimages to the Holy Land, Italy, France, Portugal and Spain, visitng many beautiful shrines and historical places in the company of friends and fellow parishioners Paul and his wife were married on May 5, 1962 at St. Louis de Gonzague Church in Nashua and they were blessed with almost 52 years of marriage. Besides his wife, he is survived by his son; John and wife Rhonda (Nevins) of Nashua, his daughter; Danielle and husband Tom Field of Wilton, two grandchildren; Sam Charron and Emma Charron of Nashua. Paul is also survived by his sister; Madeleine (Martin) and his brothers and sisters-in-law; Paul (Jan) Houle of Milford, Roland House of Pelham, Roger (Sandy) Houle of Nashua, as well as many nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, Paul was predeceased by a sister; Marcelle who died at age 10, a sister; Yolande and a brother; Rolland who both died as infants. SERVICES: Relatives and Friends are invited to attend a celebration of Paul’s Life on Sunday March 23, 2014 in the Anctil-Rochette & Son Funeral Home, 21 Kinsley Street Nashua NH, from 4-8 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday March 24, 2014 in Blessed John XXIII at Infant Jesus Parish, 121 Allds Street Nashua NH, at 12:00 PM. Burial will follow in St. Louis Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to the charity of one’s choice.
