OK, Im off the air, after talking for almost 2 hours straight. The line of storms may have weakened a bit as it came across our area, but it was not enough to keep from having widespread wind damage. Reports are continuing to come in, and I believe there will be hundreds of damage reports across the area. Most of the damage will be to trees and power-lines, but some of those trees will be on homes and cars, causing even more damage. And there may end up being roof damage in some spots where the winds were highest, and we may even find some tornado paths once the sun comes up. Its very tough at night to see a tornado, and when there is a line of storms its tough to pick out areas of rotation on the radar. But there were multiple tornado warnings issued, and we may find some paths in the morning. However, if really doesnt matter if the winds are going straight, or in a circle, it can all cause severe damage, and that was the case tonight. It may be several days before power is restored to parts of our viewing area...the good news is we have cooler, less humid, air coming in by late Tuesday and Tuesday night, which will help. David Harker and Trisha Sloma will have the latest information on NewsCenter 16 in the morning...
