OK. So, Im now obsessed with this movie I just watched called Tims Vermeer. Soooo, good. Its about a guy - not an artist - who tries to figure out how Vermeer achieved such unbelievably lifelike light and detail in his paintings...and then paint his own Vermeer. Did I mention hes not an artist? Its an incredible documentary. If it sounds the slightest bit interesting, do yourself a favor and check it out. Its really extraordinary. Its on one of the Starz channels this Thursday afternoon (channel 538 here in Denver). Maybe its on Netflix, but its worth tracking down.
