OKAY...so it has been a minute since I stepped upon my soap box. (Clearing throat). Today while reading some news feeds on Facebook...I stumbled across an article about Michael Sam who posted a photo of himself and now fiancé. Im happy for them. GOOD FOR YOU LIVING YOUR OWN LIFE. I scrolled through and came across a now ex Facebook friend who posted ugly and just really nasty comments. I remember just about two days ago she posted a picture of herself...roots and all...with a Michael Kors bag. Tag was I believe, on point. Well the bag was all that was on point... Backing up a little bit I really, really, really try to stay away from stooping to this level but you think a gay man proposing to the person he loves is wrong and blah blah...we know the song and dance. But that is the beauty of this country we can just agree to disagree. My point is you are going to carry a bag designed by a PROUD gay man who if Im right tied the knot back in like 2012 or 2013...I cant remember. But your going to post ugly and degrading comments about the same type of person?? Just really struck me as strange. She got a message similar to this and guess what ....the coward deleted me. That made me mad. I just wanted to say that you should be true to yourself. You can have an opinion...Im not taking that away. But we should all try to do this thing called THINK...before we open our mouths. Maya Angelou said, words are things...they are to be used with care Im done.
