ON AFRICA It was in 1962. A devotee, an industrialist from East Africa, was taking leave of the Mother. Mother: Why do you want to go? Devotee: Because all my things are there! Mother: I give you ten years. And each year will be worse then the previous one. Devotee: Why, Mother? They say that with the advent of the Supermind things will go on changing for the better and happier days are ahead. Mother: but the consciousness there is so low. For the next fifty years I see nothing but darkness from Cape to Cairo. Beyond that I do not see. This was in 1962. Exactly ten years later- in 1972- Idi Amin drove out the Indians from Uganda and commenced his reign of terror. The devotee met Mother and informed her how her prophecy had come true to the letter.
