OPEN LETTER TO ALL NIGERIANS DEAR GOOD CITIZENS OF NIGERIA, CPP STATE EXECUTIVE COMMITTEES SEE THE CONCERN OF NIGERIANS TO DRAFT LONG POLITICAL SERVICE AWARD POLICY FOR POLITICAL PARTIES IN NIGERIA Citizens Popular Party State Executive Committees now call on the need of all citizens inputs in drafting Long Service Award Policy for Political Party Leaders we are searching on the same but not happy with the policies I got on many sites. Someone should help me in drafting the political Service Award Policy which will make references to what has been practised in Nigeria political parties with market data and cost sheet. For completion of 3 years gift or gift voucher worth N.3.000,000,000 For completion of 5 years N.6,000,000,000 For Completion of 10 years N.15,000,000,000 For Completion of 15 years N.25,000,000,000 for completion of 20 years N 4,000,000,000 and so on.. INEC Commission is in preparation to enforce and monitor disburse this amount in the annual day function that too in front of all political party members will celebrate our excellent political party leaders in Akwa Ibom State. We expect to alien with Research Agents to forward and publish photos in the in house magazine and greet them for long association with all Nigerian citizens. Citizens Popular Party Akwa Ibom State is ready to consider that it is important to acknowledge and reward its long serving in the political governance and democracy development in Nigeria. Therefore, those Nigerian Leaders who have already completed years of political service with political party will be entitled to receive a long service award in recognition of their commitment and loyalty to the political party development in Akwa Ibom State. The Nigeria Citizens Award celebrating years of Nigeria Citizens involving in political service in our dear country will receive a personalised letter from the National Chairman/ State Chairman and a gift (not cash or vouchers) up to the value of N2.542,000 on (or near) the date of our this year anniversary, this will be join to our next month party events and to celebrate our Independent day as the lion of Africans. They will also be invited to an event to celebrate their award together with state political colleagues from across the State as Akwa Ibom State will celebrate her 27 years anniversary of government service during this year celebration the reception event will take place annually and will be hosted by the Principal. The award is not mandatory, and if any political class individual makes it known to political management agenda of 2015 general elections then that they wish to opt out of receiving an award, our wishes are respected. Length of service for the purpose of this policy is not intended to provide any additional benefit or entitlement other than that described herein and must not be construed to be consistent with or applicable as political service as defined in relevant legislation, that is the Political Parties Code of Conduct, Nigeria Pension Act, or Collective Political Agreements, Terms of Employment, contracts or other policies of Public Private Partnership with democratic governance in the state and Nigeria Diaspora . Citizens Popular Party consider it as part of a long tradition of rewarding long service and good conduct by a member of a nations armed forces which is now primarily a civilian award. Prior to this, Nigerians in the political defence and reserve forces are eligible for these imperial citizens’ political awards. Award Procedure The person has already create online social media chat for effective Human Resources since CPP Sub State Committees on Research, Planning and Statistics has adopt a resolution on all members to be IT oriented since IT system will generate an annual report, forwarded to CPP National and State Administration Contact Officers identifying individuals who are approaching an award of years service. In order to ensure that the Principal’s letter is personalised, the National and State online Contact Officer will pass the Principal’s letter template to the appropriate Head of State Working Committees or State Chairman 7days before the due anniversary date, in order for them to insert suitable career and personal information. The will be on our social media pages as template it is intended as a guide and is not prescriptive. At this point, it is incumbent upon the Head of State Working Committees or State Executive Member to ascertain the type of gift (not cash or vouchers) up to the value that is suitable for the individual. This can be done by a direct approach to the person concerned, or informed by their political colleagues. The reason for this is to improve the likelihood that the gift will be appropriate and valued by the individual. The Head of State working Committees or as anyone appointed should then arrange for the gift to be purchased (normally using a any Purchasing card) following the Finance Department’s ‘Staff Welfare, Gifts and Hospitality Procedures’. Within 2 weeks the Head of State Committees or State Executive Member will return the letter to the State/National Administrative Contact Officer, who will ensure that the draft is in an appropriate format before forwarding the letter to the Personal Assistant to the Principal (Manager & Special Events) to arrange for the principal’s signature. Once the letter is signed, the Assistant to the Principal (Manager & Special Events) will return the letter to the Head of State Working Committees or The Executive Member, who will present the letter and the gift to the individual on the appropriate date. In addition, the Assistant to the Principal (Manager & Special Events) will then compile a list of staff that will be invited to a celebratory reception on an annual basis for future planning after celebrating Akwa Ibom State at 27th September, 2014 . This as an appropriate time before the event a letter will be sent to the individual confirming the date, time and venue of the event. The appropriate State Working Committees will also receive a copy. These events will usually be combined with other ceremonies such as awarding the Citizens prizes. Subject to the Principal consent the award will be publicized in our entire online group or other appropriate social media and others. CPP is responsible for making the arrangements for the forthcoming Long Political Service Awards event and the organising of the gifts. These should be purchased in accordance with the Financial Regulations of the Electoral Act, 2010 and 1999 constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria (as amended). CPP State Executive committees seek to notify all Akwa Ibom State and African Citizens that the party wishes to formally recognize those individuals who are working effectively in transforming our democratic governance and have devoted a considerable amount of their working life to the political Institutions and INEC and State Commission. It is customary that the State Chairman should present the member of the state political class with a certificate and gift during the week of Awards. Thanks you and God bless you all.
