*** OSCAR IS AVAILABLE FOR PUBLIC ADOPTION TONIGHT *** OMG, anyone who doesn’t love a darling Beagle is surely a late December Scrooge. Can you believe that in this entire city, the Manhattan shelter hasn’t managed to find a home for a middle-aged, 17-pound beagle? They sure must have tried hard, huh? Oscar was sociable and relaxed while being processed and he even seems OK around other strange dogs. For goodness sake, his bio indicates that “Oscar shows a gentle, calm play style.” So what’s the problem you ask? Well Oscar had the audacity to tense up when he was eating and that behavior obviously doesn’t float over at the Manhattan ACC. The dog didn’t even growl but he’s recommended for an experienced home. The stress has caused Oscar to acquire the shelter cold or kennel cough. That was all the excuse the shelter needed to put the poor fella on tomorrow’s “Euthanasia List.” Take it from us, Oscar is a rock solid gem. Please save his life right away.
