**Obsession with Beauty** There is no doubt we live in a society that places heavy emphasis on physical appearance and beauty, especially for women. Growing up we see gorgeous looking actors, models and singers, believing that is the standard we should aspire towards. I admit, I was sucked into that world and would spend tons of money bleaching my hair, chemically straighten my hair (made my hair fall out!) just to look unlike my natural self. This is just a couple of examples from a long list! Sure, it is great to pamper yourself and do self-care, but when it is masking insecurities, I would take a deeper look. It has been a LONG journey to get to the point where I am totally fine with the way I look, imperfections and all. It stemmed from being at peace from the inside first - where I am, what I stand for and where I am going. When the inside is taken care of, the outside just follows suit.
