Obtain knowledge to progress, says Ku Li Society that is knowledge-driven will progress faster than those dependent on handouts, according to an Umno veteran. Gua Musang MP Tengku Razaleigh Hamzah said that history had shown that countries investing in their people to acquire knowledge had progressed further than those that just dished out financial assistance. Graduates, who made up 23% of the workforce, were the agents of change that provided hope for the betterment of society, he said. He said that graduates could only stand above the crowd if they rose above mediocrity. “Allow your inquisitive minds to open up to new challenges,” he said, adding that graduates should create value and be innovative. He also reminded them that corrupt practices could lead to the collapse of a civil society.
