Oh my goodness! I am so tired! I got the coop mucked and and fresh shavings down. Meanwhile, the hens enjoyed being able to free range in my presence. I got sidetracked by an additional coop project and spent about an hour reinforcing the backside of the coop. It now has a double layer of chicken wire and I also laced up some areas in the front side where a predator might gain entry. I remember how to use a hammer and wire cutters! LOL! As a result, I tired before being able to plant my garlic because I also hauled a dozen pots of stuff up to the compost pile and dug all my dahlia tubers, washed out a bunch of pots...ugh. Still a little more to do but getting there. I harvested the last of my goodies too! Some Brussels sprouts, red cabbage and a hen laid an egg while I working on the coop! haha!
