Oh the spinning in the opening paragraph by Ethan Strimling is delicious. No big deal, just something we expected the whole time. An excellent attempt at damage control. Contrary to what Ethan is trying to say, Angus caucuses with the Democrats, and no amount of you scratch my back stuff, like Eliot endorsing Angus in 2012 (which helped him in basically no way at all) would win a coveted endorsement like this. Indeed, Angus has demonstrated repeatedly that he cares about increasing his influence, and if Michaud was really some unstoppable juggernaut, he would have endorsed him right away. Interestingly, Michaud is, however, much more likely to have a chance at winning than Cutler, so for Angus to go with the third place guy, he must *REALLY* dislike Michaud.
