Ok guys I have in the past few months tested the rc40 evolution using Hpi Baja or upgraded parts with the nominated gearing used in most of my videos with standard hpi tires so u can feel comfortable knowing it will work with true & accurate performance result. The majority of carburettors are off the shelf products which most of us use or if you want more advanced thats available too. With the 257 this has been performing at 100%, Scotty & Tim have managed this without any problems, and thats the same with all the other carburettor tested. I have been testing a Tilston choked carburettor that has been performing great, well in fact better than great..fantastic since day one. I havent had to tune it much in all the vids I have posted, even with the BZM pipe. I like how its been setup on the Raptor very easy to get to and very functional. With the choked carburettor its a minor & easy alterations required very simple, it comes with a separated bulb that can be attached to the chassis or side rails or where ever you like Very simple. With the off the shelf carburettors Just so simple and easy dial her in &off you go, and best of all, thats right! ( NO MODIFICATION REQUIRED.) And NO extra costs to purchase equipment to make it work or have something custom made. All the carburettors have being accurately assessed & tested to give u the most peak performance possible. In the near future there maybe be even further development of carburettor with the possibility of a world first, so keep an eye out for that, again more choice. The rc40 In all of my vids & Tims has had no problem starting and has been tested in different types of terrains and conditions bar on road at the moment. I leave this for later. The Rc40 will fit in the Hpi Baja or losi with no modification & most importantly no extra costs to you, with its unique design it could also be fitted into other Rc applications with little or no modification required. It has the ability to change clutch sides & pipe location. It will also have the ability to use a range of cages that are available on the market ..again more choice :) I have been testing the standard motor with the recommended pipe, and the Bzm 50 it has more power than u need. The Bzm pipe this has shown me some performance gains & real rpm figures ( No comic book numbers.) 18,000+ I have peaked it out to 19,000+ on grass which can give you hire rpm range due it terrain conditions. IMO the Rc40 has more than enough power for the average user, or if you want more this is achievable and very simple the whole point of building this engine. Some of the improved changes Scott Finlay has made since the old design Bzm 50 1) Versatility easy to fit in, no other option required or modifications needed. 2) Fly wheel fan cooled with advance directed airflow to the head. 3) A range of carburettors with no modification required tested & proven. Ie ( engine tuner) or a advance carburettor with easy alterations. 4) The ability to use different Cage options. 5) Pipe option & and maybe more in the near future with flexibility & performance gains for your own needs. 6) The ability to change compression ratio with head domes and future optional upgrades. 7) complete Custom Billet engine ( head, crank, encased flywheel cover) 8) standard clutch options or optional upgraded. 9) Engine is lighter & smaller well balanced design and the option to change clutch housing direction & pipe locations, for other Rc applications. 10) Six transfer ports & 1x boosted exhaust port , and Yes nickel silicon nitrite plating.. 11) Encased electrical system 12) More affordable. All this for a better more advanced quality built motor... Things you get when your purchase the Rc40 Evolution or upgrade. 1) A complete motor with billet parts ie head, flywheel cover, & lower crank case 2) Finned fly wheel. 3) Carburettor with two stage choke 4) Option Bzm micro pipe.£125.00 if u buy it at the same time. The Rc40 Evolution is standard and will be a complete motor or you can chose to upgrade your self or favourite engine tuner , its all up to the individual how far u want to go or not, this was the whole point of this motor. More choice & extra performance with flexibility & great quality. just a little finish for the year I being given this motor every thing and it just hasnt missed a beat... This was running a 22/52 gearing 25/1 oil mixture & the Bzm pipe no modification to this motor...so plenty more that can be done, but I think its not needed. I will say I had so much fun testing this motor, its put plenty of parts to there stress point and repaired a few parts or replaced. The motor is quick off the mark, on or off road. Its very easy to start & reliable no need for any sort of modifications to make it work ie carburettors. I have been running a standard hpi clutch with great results. The gearing has been 21/53 to 22/52 both these gears are good. My favourite 21/53, i have tested a 24//50 it tamed it down a bit and still managed to pop a wheelie or two with no problem. My thoughts on this engine is one of the best I have driven with its performance & technology around it. Its capable of more & can be applied to other Rc applications. It can change its clutch housing side & pipe locations and will fit the losi & Baja with ease and no modifications required. Its a advanced motor and I think way ahead of its competitors. I can see more in the near future which will be a upgradable parts & performance. Well done to the MMR Modeltech for bringing a product for what all have been waiting for, and for Scotty being the driving force. And the team for believing in his ability. A last note I personally like to thank the team & Scotty for allowing me to test this unique engine and has brought a smile on my face & been able to show the world what it could do. Thanks Rino Extreme Speed Team.
