Ok, here I go again. So, I have had to take over as the choir - TopicsExpress

Ok, here I go again. So, I have had to take over as the choir director for our worship service on Friday. (That is another story for another time). Anyway, so I was selecting songs, I command my soul to bless the Lord by Lamar Campbell, I will bless the Lord at all times by Joe Pace, Hes able by Deitrick Hadden, and Lord Youre mighty by Youthful Praise. (Youtube them and listen to the words). Great songs of praise and worship. This was earlier in the week before I found out I was not selected for Chief. Fast ward today, in my villa, getting ready for rehearsal. The conversation in my mind: Me: Well rats, gotta study again for that stupid test. I am so tired of taking Navy exams I could scream. Oh well, it is what it is. Gonna drown my sorrows in ice cream. Lord: Eloise? Me: Yes, Lord? Lord: What songs are you singing on Friday? Me: ummm, what songs are we singing? Oh yeah, Hes able, and what else, oh I will bless the Lord at all times. Lord: Eloise sing I will bless the Lord.... Me: I will bless the Lord at all times, Hes good. I will bless the Lord at all Hes good.... Me: Oh, I get it Lord. You gonna just set me up like that? Lord: Do you really get it? Me: You gonna just set me up like that? Lord: Yes. Do YOU GET IT? Me: Yes, Lord. It is easy to praise and worship when things are going my way. The test of faith is not getting disappointed but what I do with my disappointment. Will I continue to praise You even though I didnt get the promotion? Will I continue to worship You without the pay raise? Will I continue to dance/mime for You even through my disappointment? Lord: Yes, thats it. Well.... Me: Yes, Lord. Your praise shall continually be in my mouth. I will always dance for You. Worship is what I do. Lord: Its not a no, just a not now. Can you dance and sing for Me with that? Me: Yes, Lord. Lord: Thats what I wanted to hear. Me: The Lord giveth and the Lord taketh away, blessed be the name of the Lord. Thank You, Lord for all that You have done for me. I love You. Lord: I know. I love you, too. Wow, didnt see that set up coming. Time to live what I have been preaching to some of the younger military personnel here who didnt get promoted last month. Anybody else get set up by God, or is it just me?
