Ok, so my straight A daughter is getting a B for the first time in her life in History. She has all As in her tests, All As in her classwork, All As on her homework, a C- in group projects and a F in class participation. She tells me 2 of the 4 people in her work group are stupid and do nothing which is dragging that grade down and says she always raises her hand in class and tries to participate but the teacher never calls on her. 25% of her grade according to the teacher is beyond her control. She currently has 4 A+, 2 As.and and all A+ or A in group work and participation in her other classes. This teacher is making it impossible for her to get an A. Both my wife (who is also a teacher) and myself are attempting to engage her teacher via email but the teacher is vague and seemingly putting it back on my daughter. I guess I am gonna have to request a parent teacher conference and maybe get the principal involved. BTW, I am not a hovering overbearing parent, my Daughter is awesome and driven, her grades all come from her. I never have to tell her to study or do her homework. This teacher is really stressing her out. Time to try to help her out.
