Ok, we, Guys Towing, want to straighten some things out. Ray is not paid by us or anyone for getting cars towed. The Manager of that piece of property, who manages it for the owner of that piece of property, is the one we are contracted with. The Property Manager is a back country charter fisherman who couldnt even launch his boat there half the time for all the illegal parking done there. There are numerous no parking signs, banners and even a gate. The Property Manager has Ray call us when someone refuses to move, even after being told by Ray they have to do so, and with all the no parking signs around. Then and only then does Ray make the call. It is not Rays idea. It is the property managers edict. And ONCE AGAIN, we do not pay Ray $100. Our drivers dont make $100 to tow a car. We havent violation towed 100 cars in the last 5 years there or anywhere else. The weird part about that particular little piece of land that Ray watches, is that he tells them and shows them why they cannot park there and they do anyway. And below is a picture that is pretty common when someone parks there illegally and empties their trash out. We pick it up all the time, so does Ray. The Property Manager gives Ray small tips for keeping the property clean and open for the Managers use and the owners use. Our main business is working in towing for broken down cars and trailers and our tire business. We dont make a lot of profit on towing cars parked illegally. And, when we have to, our personnel have been attacked with tire irons and everything else. If you couldnt get on your NO PARKING marked property because of people parked all over it, Im betting youd call me, too. We have been in business here 25 years and we try to help people all the time. We give away cars to people who need them. When there were hurricanes we would send all our trucks in at no charge to anyone and get cars out of the water. We donated 3 motor homes to the National Guard. Half the time the people that call us to tow their broken down cars cant pay us much or at all and we always help them anyway whenever we can. We do a lot of towing for AAA and folks like that when cars, boat trailers, etc., break down. We help out all law enforcement with any towing they need. We really arent the bad guys. We run an honest business. When we do have to tow a violator, we put wheel trolleys under them going on and off the truck. We have a night watchmen we pay to guard these cars. We place the cars in a fenced secure area. We are here to serve the people and businesses of the Keys and if that means towing parking violators because the business owners and property owners here hire us to do so, then thats what it is. We work hard, pay taxes, volunteer in the community and we employee a lot of folks. We treat our employees good and we try to be courteous to all our clients, even the ones who are abusive to us after their illegally parked cars are towed. If you call us when you need us for any service we provide, well be there, just like we have been for the last 25 years. Thank you, Guy, Guys Towing
