Okay, I finally saw the critically panned wild west comedy A - TopicsExpress

Okay, I finally saw the critically panned wild west comedy A Million Ways To Die In The West and it was not as bad as I had anticipated. There were some genuinely humorous moments with 1 or 2 well done set pieces (Bar Brawl and the Mustache song) and the chemistry between Seth MacFarlane and Charlize Theron is truly sweet. It does suffer from pacing issues, heavy reliance on crude and overly explained jokes, and it can be a bit of a drag hearing how much the West sucks. While it isnt a terrible film, it is overly long rapid fire comedy film that has no narrative to tie the jokes together like his first film Ted and the jokes either stick or dont. For those who enjoy this kind of humor but for others, check it out on DVD, it not a bad way to spend some time thinking how much better life is now! ;)
