If you think drones are not aircraft, and are therefore not subject to existing FAA regs, then the NOTAMs prohibiting flights over or within 3nm of stadiums with a 30,000 seat or greater capacity are inapplicable. That means this flight, and dozens (hundreds?) of other drone flights above a football game are lawful. If however, you think FAA regs do reach such flights, then that undermines other legal arguments about whether the FAA has authority to treat model aircraft as aircraft. Of course, once you start digging into the regulations and statutes supporting the NOTAMs youll also see they are a definitional soup sandwich on a stick. Fun times!
