Okay guys so I found some notes in my A4 pad about how to write the academic essay for Eddie! Thank God for the seminars :) anyway he said we need to 1. Make the Thesis 2. Make the Antithesis 3. Form the Synthesis Ok so in reference to 1. The Thesis, this is when we make the initial argument itself e.g Facebook is used by people to cure loneliness. Then we have to find evidence to support this so this involves reading ugh :-/ In reference to 2. The Antithesis, this is the counter argument e.g Its not true that Facebook is used to cure loneliness, instead it is used to reconnect with others in society, again the Antithesis involves more reading to find evidence to support the statement :/ So about 3, the Synthesis, this is when u bring the Thesis and Antithesis together to critically decide what your conclusion is. So basically we gotta pick an essay title, get a book or two from the library which can help us make the Thesis n Antithesis (check Eddies reading list wen ya pick a title) and then well b graaaaand! :P Hope this helps! :-)
