Okay, lets talk cities in Winter Eternal. There are 5 nature warden run cities: Haven, Deadfalls, Ochrem, Emerald rest and Mirrors Edge. While the flavor of each city is different, most work the same. These cities are heated by a powerful heat spell, except for Haven, which has a giant yellow crystal in the center. It radiates heat so there are no heat spells here. It took a few years to get this spell working at full potential. It has a range of about 4 miles and after that its starts getting colder and colder. The area inside the 4 miles, is called the Summer zone. The temperature is high enough, that it is possible to wear mostly summer clothes. Its also much greener here, with parks and gardens everywhere. Here you also find the large food gardens as well as the tower of the ruler. The rich and powerful also have homes in the Summer Zone. The giant light globes are also cast in the center of the city each day, so here it is bright and glowstones only light the roads when the large globes are extinguished at night. The rich like to use small light spells to light their houses and gardens. Each trying to outdo the other, its a sight to behold as you walk down the street at night. The falloff area is called the Autumn Zone. Here it gets colder (and the people are poorer) the further you move away from the center. People need warm clothing and glowstones and lanterns are always lit along the streets. On the edges you will usually find warehouses, animal pens and some factories. There are 2 dwarven cities: Drogan and Echo. Built in massive caverns theses cities are ruled by dwarves. In most cases other races wont make it as high socially as in other cities, but that doesnt mean there arent rich families of other races here as well. There are multiple caverns growing mushrooms or filled with cows and sheep (dont ask about the smell). There is a reason why meat and animal dung for burning, are the biggest exports from these cities, as well as rock and metals. Lastly you will find Wallside. Built on the edges of a massive chasm, hanging above the lava below. This city has a steampunk flavor. The city is heated by the lava and steam and pipes are running everywhere. It is mostly here you find artificers hard at work in factories. Here the rich live on the bottom levels (closer to the heat from the lava and the warehouses and factories are at the top. The only entrance is a giant steam driven lift. Well, there you go. Next time I will tell you about the Archways. :) Winter Eternal
