Okay, time to tell people what utter incompetence weve been experiencing with Chucks Heating and A/C this week. #publicshaming FRIDAY So last Friday they came to our house to inspect our Rinnai propane heater -- not to fix it -- it was working perfectly fine, tyvm. In the process of inspecting it, they busted a heating element. The guy explained that over time they can get brittle from the heat and dryness and that it snapped easily when they removed the heaters front cover. So naturally it was not a part they had on hand, and it being Friday, they didnt expect it to arrive until Monday, but, they assured us, it would be on the truck Monday and they would make our heater a priority! So no heat all last weekend. MONDAY Monday comes and about half way through Emily calls Chucks and a confused and irritable woman says shell have to call her back. We get a call back saying that they havent gotten the part yet but that they expect it to be delivered today and as soon as it is, theyll send a guy. We hear nothing the rest of the day. TUESDAY We get an email from our landlady in the morning explaining that she heard from Chucks. The part came in and it was... the wrong one. They expect the right one that day and will let us know asap. We later hear that the part is being air delivered at 11am Wednesday and that they will make our heater a priority. WEDNESDAY We heard nothing from Chucks all day. We got a call from our landlady in the evening saying they were going to come Thursday and fix the heater. THURSDAY I just now got a voicemail from our landlady. Chucks came! But... they brought the WRONG PART. They say theyre going to try and overnight it tonight and install tomorrow. Tomorrow will be no heat for seven days, for those of you keeping score at home. Anyone like to lay odds on whether we have heat over the weekend?
