Okorocha grants Imo workers 2 weeks holiday Owerri – Gov. Rochas Okorocha of Imo has declared Dec. 19, 2014 to Jan. 5, 2015 as public holidays for civil servants in the state. Okorocha announced this in Christmas/New Year Messages and Presentation of his score card at the Government House in Owerri. He assured Imo people and those visiting the state this festive period that all necessary machineries have been put in place to ensure adequate security in all nooks and crannies of the State. He urged people to be of good conduct and help to fish out criminals in their localities and wished them hitch-free Christmas and New Year celebrations. Okorocha said there was every reason to celebrate. He said the total transformation in the state in the past three years and seven months could not have been possible but for God’s intervention. He thanked Imo people for being supportive of the “Rescue Mission” government. The governor said 322 primary and secondary schools had been built, while two campuses of Imo Polytechnic at Orlu and Ehime Mbano, were opened.
