Olympus Has Fallen: SPOILER ALERT!! Do not read if you havent seen the film! This film wastes no time in getting the ball rolling. In fact, by the seven minute mark, the presidents wife dies and the film suddenly becomes very interesting and promising. Until you learn that they are actually taking it in an entirely different direction. And not for the best might I add. The plot is very dry and lacked depth. Felt like there wasnt enough layers. I really didnt care about any of the characters save for the presidents wife and son, who unfortunately are both flat characters. Another strange thing was that there was little to no blood considering the amount of violence. As a matter of fact, theres non-stop shooting for the first 35min - probably the most gun fire Ive seen in a movie since Transformers (yawn). After Olympus has finally fallen, the film ironically goes flat. The storyline has fallen. Theres a long dreadful 30min of a failed attempt to keep us in suspense. Then you realize what the film is really about and whatever interest still remains fizzles from ambers to ashes. The presidents son is safe and theres still an hour to go. So I really dont care what happens next or how it will all end. The president was painfully boring and sadly enough, so was Morgan Freeman. This film has probably got the worst villain in Motion Picture history. Hes not funny, cocky, or interesting in any way. In all fairness, I probably didnt enjoy it as much because Im not American. I mean after all, it did come across as one of those scary what if movies. So now ask me, what if the White House was taken over? Uhm....yeah no, I dont really care. 3/10
