On 2nd September, 2013, Shauna Adams relinquished her horses - TopicsExpress

On 2nd September, 2013, Shauna Adams relinquished her horses willingly to AER under a verbal agreement in which AER promised to undertake placement of the horses to a third party under a borrowers contract on condition that the new homes were approved by Shauna and that Shauna would have the right to visit and maintain contact with Topaz and Sapphire forever. Shortly after the transfer of the horses to AER, Shauna was informed by AER that she would in fact no longer have rights to her horses, nor would she be provided with any further information on their location or well-being. Any attempts by Shauna to contact AER have been met with derision and hostility and latterly, no response. No paperwork was exchanged at the transfer. However, AER completed their OWN paperwork at the transfer of which Shauna had no sight, nor was Shauna invited to sign. AER made comments on its Facebook page in which they stated that these horses, prior to being transferred to AER, were at risk of being sold to the meat trade, and that AER had saved them from this fate. Photos of the horses, which have now been removed from the AER page (as well as any reference to these horses) showed them in a tiny, sparse, grass-less paddock in full sun. The mare, being white and thin-skinned, has an allergy to fly bites and should be kept inside and away from flies and sun all day, as specifically requested by Shauna and as agreed to by AER. Both horses do not tolerate being outside in the heat and surrounded by flies, yet a photo appeared temporarily on the AER group showing both horses in full sun, entitled Topaz and Sapphire enjoying the sunshine. Shauna has made repeated, polite attempts to contact AER. She has been told by AER only that the horses are now the property of AER and that should Shauna make further attempt to make contact with AER to enquire about her horses, AER will make a complaint to the Gendarmes. Shauna is in a state of severe distress. All she wants is for her horses to be returned home to her. This Facebook page will be closed down when Topaz and Sapphire are returned to Shauna Adams, their rightful owner.
