On Easter, as I contemplate the Power of the empty tomb, I cannot help but be reminded of my dads gentle wisdom regarding this most Holy Day in the Christian faith. I recall him saying to me one time Susan, Christmas is a wonderful time of the year when we celebrate the birth of Christ, but its Easter that puts the frosting on the cake, because of what Christ did for us on the Cross. My mother also loved Easter. She had an unwavering faith and belief in Christ and no power this side of Heaven would ever have convinced her otherwise. I rejoice that my parents are continuing to celebrate the Risen Lord in Heaven.
