On Sunday September 7th 2014 Veterans For Peace Chapter 72 held an event at the home of Trudy Cooper whose generous hospitality is greatly appreciated by us all. The event was a presentation on Nicaragua Today upon the return of our local revolutionaries from Veterans For Peace members Brian Willson, Mike Hastie & Becky Luening. Brian Willson had been invited by Nicaraguan President Daniel Ortega to join the celebration of the 35th Anniversary of the 1979 victory of the Nicaraguan Revolution. Brian, Becky and Mike came together to share their experience and to show the video clips Mike Hastie took documenting the trip through which we are invited to tag along.
