On Thanksgiving weekend we took a drive out on Old Summit lake - TopicsExpress

On Thanksgiving weekend we took a drive out on Old Summit lake road north on our way home from the Huble homestead. We came across these log cabin ruins right near the south end of the road, where it meets the highway near Salmon Valley. From what i can discern from June Chamberlands book, these are what remains of the cabin that Richard Towler moved into during the 30s. It was built in 1929 or 30 by Edward K. Erickson . The Ericksons lived there for only a couple of years and then moved out. Dick Towler also built a barn and sheds on the property. Very interesting stuff , these old homesteads!
