On Thursday, October 24, 2013, Genetic Roulette: The Gamble of Our Lives, a film about the dangers of genetically engineered (GMO) food, will be the featured presentation at the October quarterly meeting of the Lehigh Valley Chapter of The Weston A Price Foundation® at the United Steelworkers Hall in Bethlehem. GMO Free PA-Lehigh Valley Chapter, which is presenting and co-sponsoring the screening, will lead a discussion and Q&A following the screening. The film, by Jeffrey M. Smith, leading consumer advocate on GMO dangers, points to genetically engineered foods as a major contributor to rising disease rates in the United States. It may change your diet, help to protect your family, and accelerate the consumer tipping point against genetically modified organisms. GMO Free PA-Lehigh Valley Chapter, a newly-formed chapter of GMO Free PA founded by Mary Ann Bennett, Steph Corby, Kristin Rickert, and Audra Wallis, is on Facebook. Their email address is: GMOFreeLV@yahoo Also at the event, local producers may bring grass-fed, organic, and/or biodynamic products for sampling or sale.
