In this world of ever increasing competition, appearances matter. In order to get ahead, be respected and liked, people are expected to project an air of confidence and perfection as they conduct themselves living their lives. Kylie Chan’s latest series of work, ‘Trip, Stumble & Fall’ explores the fact that this isn’t always possible. Everybody makes mistakes. Everybody has their setbacks. Using #rOtring 800 & #Tikky Graphic, Kylie’s new illustrations capture the feeling of panic when you no longer have control over a situation. There is nothing you can do about it, you just have to go along for the ride. Drawn in a way that invokes hope and positivity, Kylie wants to share with her audience her belief that failure doesn’t matter, it is how you pick yourself up again that is important.
