On Tuesday, I was reading about Ghandi and his coined term - TopicsExpress

On Tuesday, I was reading about Ghandi and his coined term satyagraha or firmness in pursuit of truth. Since then, Ive been thinking about another passage which I read many years ago in Finite and Infinite Games by James Carse. I stopped just now to look it up again: The titled are powerful. Those around them are expected to yield, to withdraw their opposition, and to conform to their will--in the arena in which the title was won. Power will always be restricted to a relatively small number of selected persons. Anyone can be strong. Strength is paradoxical. I am not strong because I can force others to do what I wish as a result of my play with them, but because I can allow them to do what they wish in the course of my play with them.
