On Tuesday a Palestinian detainee Raed Al-Jabari died at an Israeli hospital. It is alleged that his death came due to Israeli torture since his father claims that Al-Jabari spoke to his wife and children on Sunday and was confirmed to be in good health. According to reports, Al-Jabari was tortured while being transferred from one prison to another, but Israeli authorities attempted to hide the truth by saying he had hung himself. Just last week, a Palestinian prisoner was moved to a hospital ward after undergoing torture at Israels Russian Compound detention center. Around 7,000 Palestinians are currently being held in Israeli prisons, more than 2,000 of whom were arrested over the summer alone. And this is not the first time a Palestinian prisoner have died due to alleged Israeli torture. Making it even worst, there are women and children being detained daily and torture by the Israel, in some cases children stay 18 hours and more in locked up in cages without food and water. People are stripped of their rights, and humiliated in the most outrageous ways that modern civilization cannot and should not condone. The conditions the Palestinians face in Israeli prisons is totally beyond humanitarian laws, and this must be corrected, especially since the detainees arent even judged yet. The death of Al-Jabari, is a clear indication that Israel is carrying out horrible crimes in secrecy against Palestinians. There is need for an investigation into what goes on behind close doors in Israel, and the world must be made aware of the truth. Let us unite, and speak out and influence a change, this barbaric behavior from Israel must stop.
