On behalf of Management and Board of Directors of ECBC I would like to thank Paul for a wonderful job he is done over the past 14 months for his dedication to the club and to the game of bowls and wish him best of luck at his new position at Lake Munmoorah. I would also like to let members know that I have appointed a new Bowls Manager who will take up his position towards the end of April. His name is Mark Watt he is 25 years old and holds a Diploma in Sporting Performance and a Level 1 and 2 in coaching. Mark is also a current member of the New Zealand Development Squad. Mark Watt and Brodie Turner will continue with the City of Cessnock Bowls Academy (BUSINESS AS USUAL) and just a reminder to all people interested in watching the great game of bowls we have our National 5 a side tournament on Monday 28th April to Thursday 1st May and dont forget the Calcutta being held on the Sunday night. We have teams coming from Helensvale, Cabramatta, Taren Point, Belrose, Warialla, Merrylands, Mt Lewis, Tuncurry, KURRI KURRI, Raymond Terrace, Ettalong, Harbord, Wisemans Park, Engerdine, BowlsNSW Development Team, 2 teams from New Zealand PLUS The Australian Womens Team that will be heading to Scotland for the Commonwealth Games (TEAM STILL BE ANNOUNCED) - WHAT A LINE UP Come and watch all the action games will commence at 8.45 each day. Play consists of singles/Fours and Pairs/Triples. If you would like to assist during the 3 days I would really appreciate some volunteers. If you can assist please give me a call 0457708825 (Marlene)
