On our train ride home, a baby kept crying till her voice broke, - TopicsExpress

On our train ride home, a baby kept crying till her voice broke, all the way from at least Dover MRT Station to Boon Lay MRT Station. The baby was in distress. So was the mother who was slinging the baby near the waist, with a toddler in tow. And so were most people in the train. The girls and I grew increasingly uncomfortable. N asked me if I want to help the mother. I asked "Should I?" And she said "yes!", taking over all the bags that I was carrying. I walked over to the mother and asked if she needed help, and if baby was hungry. She said yes. I asked her if she was nursing, and she said yes. I asked if she wanted to nurse the baby, and I could help her cover up and watch her toddler. She said no need because she was alighting soon. She thanked me, and I walked back to the girls. I explained to the girls that the baby was hungry, and when they were young, they did not cry like that becos I nursed them anywhere, anytime that they needed. G said that I can speak Baby Language, and baby does not need to speak Mother Tongue (?!) By the time we got out, the poor baby was still crying...
