On page 2 of The Sun (street edition) today there is a story headlined Defence system needs upgrade. He alledgedly said this when witnessing a signing ceremony between a UK company and a Malaysian company aimed at promoting, marketing and distributing a wide range of ground-based air defence systems to the Malaysian armed forces. In the Sun report the defence minister said that the defence industry is ultimately not just about making money, as it should also be about making the world a more peaceful place. Naivete. Stupidity.
