On the Sunday Politics Ed Davey (Sec of State for Energy and Climate Change) sat uncomplainingly in front of a graph showing that whereas global warming has plateaued in recent years, carbon levels in the atmosphere have continued to rise. Minutes later he said that the rise of both continued to be inextricably linked. (?) Incidentally, being the Minister for Climate Change is as relevant as being the Minister for Rocks. Climate has always changed and always will. The question is - "Is industrial pollution: wholly to blame; partly to blame or irrelevant to global warming", and if not the latter, what is to be done? Reducing pollution is highly desirable, but trying to replace existing UK energy sources with windmills in half a lifetime is almost certainly a hugely expensive mistake.
