On this Veterans Day I want to mirror Kim Sealy Day by being thankful. As a young sailor during the Vietnam era we were very careful not to wear our uniform too often in public. We didnt hide our service but the public opinion has turned against the war and many servicemen were openly ridiculed in public, called names and held in low regard in general and did not want to have endure that kind of treatment not of our making. I am grateful for the honor being acknowledge for all veterans. I am glad that as a nation we have come full circle on this. For this I am grateful.
