On this Whitsun, Elderberries café prepared a meal for the Zen - TopicsExpress

On this Whitsun, Elderberries café prepared a meal for the Zen Center and a Tibetan Prince who was welcomed for a conversation. Our neighbor Michael Konig, who is housing our honeybees and collaborating with us on a Block by Block urban gardening initiative, prepared a Vista Gardenia Collard Green that was so delicious we are hoping he will create this dish on the weekends for us:) Daniel was asked by our friend Max to say a few words about the food and our collaboration and Daniel was so touched by how much they appreciated and loved what we have prepared for their day. And this day was a dream for Daniel as he had been asking to create healing meals from the first moment of our consideration of becoming co workers here in Los Angeles. Our co worker Natasha said Dottie it is happening, we are doing it and yes it is true, we are really beginning to meet those who also have a common purpose towards cultivating the conditions for a more humane existence in connection with spirit and matter and the transformation thereof. Sergei Prokofieff speaks of a World Communion and so it is.... in our little cafe we have a great collaboration with our Russian friends on a play in the community, our friend Layla from Iran on nutrition, Robin the owners of our own building are Persian and without whom we would still be here on Sunset, Daniel from Sweden, Natasha with her Egyptian roots, Alma with her Icelandic roots, Acea with is Elfin roots, our friends from Germany and Vancouver who walked about ten miles to Venice Beach thinking it was just around the corner ;) yesterday, so much love and appreciation one for the others traditions and experiences and with Maxs invitation to prepare a meal for his beloved friends, a full circle round from our visit to Dornach in 2013 without whom we would have been able to have made that trip. He said to me at that time: Dottie I know you are doing so much and I think I would like to help so money is not the burden for your trip. Good World Communion day ! Good Whitsun to you all! I believe that to meet the challenge of our times, human beings will have to develop a greater sense of universal responsibility. Each of us must learn to work not just for his or her own self, family or nation, but for the benefit of all mankind. Universal responsibility is the real key to human survival. It is the best foundation for world peace, the equitable use of natural resources, and through concern for future generations, the proper care of the environment. Dalai Lama “People must come closer to one another than they used to be, each becoming an awakener of everyone he meets. Modern human beings entering life today have stored up far too much karma not to feel a destined connection with every individual they encounter. In earlier ages, souls were younger and had not formed so many karmic ties. Now it has become necessary to be awakened not just by nature, but by the human beings with whom we are karmically connected and whom we want to seek.” Rudolf Steiner
