Once again the racing families who travel from all over to race - TopicsExpress

Once again the racing families who travel from all over to race with us put on an amazing show for spectators in Lockhart and all over the world via the Kart Racing Network. Over 230 racers in 10 classes showed the world what it is like to race at a very high level in challenging weather and yet do it professionally. Passes were made with skill instead of brute force. Multiple classes saw dicing back and forth through out the field in both the pre-finals and finals. Now that #lsgp2014 is now in the books by almost a week our thoughts turn to our new friends who traveled across the globe to share the LSGP experience. Ken and Jill Walker have just now completed their transcontinental flight back to their home in middle England. Eastern Goldfields Kart Club President, Dave Broun, is likely approaching his native Western Australia. The wealth of information that was shared by these folks with us will make LSPG and karting in general better. The last few days were spent with Ken, Jill and to a lesser extent, Dave, digesting LSGP, discussing the best kart races in the world and looking for opportunities to do more unique things that build relationships and raise the tide of kart racing worldwide. Over the coming months you will see the fruits that grow from the seeds that were planted by these dedicated and giving people. An emerging and evolving story that will take shape over the next few days is revolves around the Herculean efforts of Josh Lane. Joshs recovery from a DQ from rule that he was unaware of is the stuff of legend. His run from last to first in the KZ class was the best of the weekend. His recovery from the emotional loss of 1st position in that race to domination of an incredibly stacked field in Stock Honda Light put him in the drawing for the drawing for The Granja 500 entry courtesy of WR Motorsports and Mg Tires Manufacturer. Josh Lanes journey from disappointment to domination to Granja 500 racer is coming and the journey from this point on will be more unique and interesting than what has been up to this point. Please stay tuned for it. On behalf of the whole LSGP team, our partners and those that support our efforts thank you racers and racing families for making this the best LSGP yet. Next week the process starts anew for the team as we begin to build #lsgp2015 with your help. Good luck racing this year. May you all stay safe.
