One more adorable kitten thats available starting Saturday! Butternut is a special little guy, please read below to see why: Name: Butternut Age: 5 weeks old on date of arrival (8/23/14) Breed: DLH Orange Tabby How I Arrived At NHS: I was found as a stray and brought into Northwoods where I could be safe in a foster home until I was big enough to be ready. Note From My Foster Mom: Butternut is an adorable, special little guy. Butternut has had a rough start in his life. When he was brought into Northwoods, it was found that he has a bullet in his back right leg. The bone had already started healing so they did not do surgery to take it out. He had to be on kennel rest for a few weeks but after that point, you wouldnt know that he had any problem. He is such a love, has a very loud purr for you as soon as you pick him up and loves to be held. Lately, he has found that he likes to climb up on top of your head and play in your hair. Hes very funny and a lot of fun! He can also be quite a rowdy boy and at least a few times a day when he gets worked up, he will have so much energy that hes practically bouncing off the walls. Thats when he can get bitey when playing but hes slowly learning "no". I think that part of this is because of how much kennel rest he had to be on so he has been storing his energy. I would think that after awhile when hes able to have the run of the house, he will get better. You will be immediately drawn to him by how cute he is but will then fall in love with his adorable personality! Buttternut is a wonderful little guy and will be a joy for anyone that is lucky enough to adopt him! Good With Kids: Unknown but probably.
