One moving experience from the past week - which felt a world away from ceasefires and rockets - was attending a theater performance at מרכז נא לגעת The NaLagaat Center, where all of the actors and actresses are blind, deaf, or deaf-blind. In one especially touching scene, a woman who cannot see plays the piano beautifully for her significant other, a man who cannot hear, telling him, What youre not able to hear, I can still help you to feel. There werent many dry eyes in the house, and it was a great reminder that if we, as a society and as individuals, make an effort to meet people where they are, then everyone - every single person - has gifts and talents to offer and to share.
