One of my favourite way of upgrading the poor Phalaenopsis plants - TopicsExpress

One of my favourite way of upgrading the poor Phalaenopsis plants which have devaluated terribly in the last 5 years... Make them taller by planting them higher up an armature. Simply slip the pot off of the plant; shape the root ball into a sphere; and wrap it with sphagnum moss; bind the ball with bullion wire so that it keeps the spherical shape (geometric form). This way, the plant is larger, and the mechanics of growing this orchid is much more interesting. Just water onto the moss ball with water bottle, or place under the sink, or place an ice cube daily (melts to water, over-watering is impossible for those with black thumbs). The moss ball promotes great root growth, as you can see. This plant has been growing and blooming for over 4 months already!!!
