One of the great ironies of tonights results is that if you had told me in 2011 that the Yes Campaign would manage 45% of the vote for Independence, I would have thought that it would be a somewhat impressive success for the SNP. But expectations have been inflated to such a degree over the last three weeks, that a 10-point loss, which we may be looking at, will instead appear as a near landslide, and as a repudiation of Salmond and his movement.
