One of the joys--real joys--of teaching is to see the great contributions our students make to our world. While I am constantly reminded of these wonders, this week I had two reminders. Early in the week I had the pleasure and honor to go to a new dentist-- Anjali Jain Lueck. She was one of my many valued students when I taught at Stanton College Preparatory School. Today she is a respected dentist. From the same school comes Michael Waltz who was interviewed on MSNBC yesterday by Andrea Mitchell. He a featured hero in the new book VALOR. Mike did me and my Florida State College at Jacksonville students the honor of Skyping into my history class to talk about foreign affairs...and now he is featured in a book on military heroes. And this clip comes by way of another noted Stanton grad: Vikram Gopal who has made/continues to make an amazing impact on medicine in our community. I am fortunate to have shared time with these remarkable people. Give them a shout out and a thank you.
