One of the most common mistakes people encounter with breaststroke occurs during the kick. Unlike the other competitive strokes, the breaststroke kick, or “frog kick” is done with flexed feet, rather than “straight” with pointed toes. When practicing, make sure that your toes are pointed towards the outside of the pool. Think about trying to catch the water with the inside of your foot with each kick. You will get a much better “grab” of the water with flexed feet on breaststroke kick. Try it today!
