One of the most dangerous teachings ever fed to humankind is that we must live each day hoping that tomorrow is going to be better than today. As a result, we spend our lives waiting, hoping, praying whoever it is we pray to provide what we think we do not have. Hence the saying, god let me live long so that my enemies can see me flourish right in front of their eyes. Imagine praying for a longer live so that you can prove a point to other people. What a waste! Sometimes we even hate and attack those that we think have the things that are meant for us. This is not dissimilar to the notion of waiting to die before you can ascend to heaven. The secret of life, at least for me, is to appreciate each day for what it offers - people I meet, chats, love, laughter, tears, problems to be solved, challenges to be overcome etc. I am not waiting for a better day tomorrow. What I have today is good enough. This is irrespective of whether I get stuck somewhere with no money and no petrol. And this has happened a few times. Whatever happens, things always work out for the best. Thus, when I say I have everything that I need today I am not just saying it, I live it every day. That is why you will never hear me say I am hustling because I am not. I am living my life. A beautiful one at that. And who said beautiful lives are free from challenges? My swimming instructor said to me yesterday: Do not fight with water, you will never win. Just flow with it. I was feeling frustrated because I could not do what she told me to do and I decided to fight with the water. Typical! Humans can be so dumb. Have a lovely weekend my dear friends. Life is too beautiful to mess up with demands and expectations and complaints and and....
