Oops! Loaded the wrong video first time! Lets try it again! LOL Heres some proof that the chine runner system works! Clawing upwind and upcurrent in 25 to 34 mph as measured....at end of video you can see how hard Travelers sail is flogging, and also occasionally you can see how fast the shadows of the clouds are going by...it was ripping. the water was smooth because we are in the narrow landcut and there is not enough fetch to get a good swell running right here. I was waiting for Iron Duck Chuck Pierce to arrive. He had an incredible day, overcoming a capsize and a broken mast while rendering aid to another Ducker. The crew of Pilgrim helped him get the pieces back together and then he climbed back in the saddle and rode that pony home. I thought the least I could do was to wait for his arrival out of respect for his incredible willpower . He was the man of the day for sure. Right around 5 min youll see how fast Scouts reef system works...if you blink you will miss it. Scouts ability to head upwind allowed me to loiter until Chuck came in.
