#Opinion. OK. just yesterday,, I had this religious conversation with this woman friend of mine.. we was talking about water baptism and she said she has been baptized since she was an infant.. O.o so I asked how it was possible to baptize an infant who cant discern between wrong and right.. to my utmost astonishment,, she said HOLY WATER was sprinkled on her head and they made d sign of d cross on her forehead.. bla bla bla.. I,, never a one to slack in pointing out an error,, told her straightaways that shes gotten it all wrong.. Water Baptism isnt about sprinkling water or making the cross signal on d forehead.. she said hmmmmm.. I said hmmmmm hmmmmmm.. I knew it was wrong to discredit someones belief without giving cogent facts,, so I blabbered about Johns baptism of Christ... that Christ was dipped inside d water and wasnt sprinkled.. I couldnt locate d Bible verse (till now.. pardon me,, Im no Bible scholar).. but as d spirit will have it,, I was flipping thru d Scripture today and I came across an archetypal instance of Baptism.. (glory to God) ACTS 8:38,39. ...............and THEY WENT DOWN BOTH into d water................ both Phillip and d eunuch; and he BAPTIZED him............. and when they were COME UP OUT OF THE WATER............... (praise God!) ¡) Baptism isnt sprinkling water on someone.. ITS NOT BIBLICAL.. 2) You cant baptize an infant who hasnt confessed Christ.. ITS NOT BIBLICAL.. ¡¡¡) Baptism isnt dipping someone in water thrice..ITS NOT BIBLICAL.. 4) Baptism isnt making d sign of cross on d forehead.. ITS NOT BIBLICAL.. so,, beloved,, if na this kind baptism dem do you for ur church,, clear Dem say e nor proper.. its wrong.. tell em d right way to go about it... the importance of Water Baptism in Christendom cannot be overemphasized.. Water Baptism has two important significance and or two significant importance as d case may be or as may be d case.. 1) when you agree to be dipped into d water,, it symbolizes that youve buried d Adamic nature.. youve buried self.. 2) and when youre brought back up,, it connotes that youve been raised a new man.. in Christlike nature.. prepared and ready for d resurrection of the dead saints and d rapture... it is d physical manifestation of the third work of grace,, and since Christ was baptized,, it is expedient that we follow suit as Christians... Toor!! thats my sermon... my opinion... feel free to debate and correct my errors.. (2nd Timothy 2:15) then drop Ur offering afterwards... (Malachi 3:10,, Luke 6:38) God bless You!!
