Opinions are surfacing, fear is spreading. This fear of being called out is not an unique event. It happens in protests, movements, campaigns, and even classrooms. It is often met by extreme backlash. No one likes to hear they are wrong. It takes a very strong and mature person to take criticism and grow from the process. I encourage the student body to grow. Lets take this opportunity to rise about the criticism and act from a place of personal development. I encourage us to start conversations about what is happening at our university. I encourage us to unite as a group of free, intelligent thinkers and start thinking of ways that we can make our school a better place. I do not encourage us to focus on this campaign. This campaign is meant to start a bigger conversation about what we are doing and what we can be doing better. Lets grow as a student body and create dialogue about the change we want to see on campus. Only then can we mature into the progressive state I know we are capable of.
