Ordinarily animals in slaughterhouses are stunned prior to being - TopicsExpress

Ordinarily animals in slaughterhouses are stunned prior to being bled. This means that they are unconscious at the point when slaughter occurs. However, some types of slaughter are performed without pre-stunning - this has been shown to have major implications for the welfare of that animal. If you agree that all animals should be rendered unconscious by stunning prior to slaughter, please sign this e-petition from the British Veterinary Association.
