Our 168th Word: President Aquino appears to be siding with VP Jojo Binay in connection with the Senates investigation of the latters involvement in the over-priced Makati City Hall 2 building. He deplored the Senate Blue Ribbon Subcommittees dribs and drabs presentation of evidence against Binay. He complained that the piecemeal presentation of evidence, consume much of the Senates time and works to the detriment of the people, like the Yolanda typhoon victims, whose basic needs, were not provided by the government, because the Senate, which has a huge role in the rehabilitation process of the typhoon ravaged provinces, has not contributed to the alleviation of the sufferings of the victims, since it members were not focused in helping the victims, but in the destruction of a political opponent. P-Noy sees the motive of Cayetano, Trillanes and Pimentel in destroying Binay. Since, his party has no viable candidate for the 2016 presidential elections, and the VP is his sisters and the Cojuangcos bet in the presidential race, P-Noy is depicting what a lame duck usually does, i.e., becoming soft and friendly to the front runner, hoping that, in the event the latter wins, his skeletons in the closet wont be revealed, otherwise, the names of his parents would be tarnished.Atty.
